Meet the Team

President & CEO
Michael Parrish
Michael Parrish is the co-founder and CEO of Terminus Solutions, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business located in the District of Columbia. With a bachelor’s degree in Finance from James Madison University, Mike has a strong foundation in financial expertise. His distinguished career includes over five years of service with the US Army Special Operations Command at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, where he earned recognition as a decorated combat veteran.
Following his military service, Mike transitioned to a successful 30+ year career as a hedge fund manager, floor trader, and business development professional for a government contracting software company. He served two years on the Board of Governors with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange as well as a member of the Risk Oversight Committee of the Chicago Board Options Exchange. His extensive experience in finance, combined with his background in military service, positions him as a dynamic leader with a unique perspective and valuable insights.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mike maintains a deep commitment to serving the community and supporting fellow veterans. His multifaceted career journey reflects resilience, strategic thinking, and a dedication to excellence in all endeavors.

Chief Operations Officer
Brian James
Brian James is the co-founder of Terminus Solutions, where he infuses the company with strategic thinking and innovative insights drawn from his extensive military service, over 20 years in the IT industry, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration earned cum laude from Trinity Washington University, and an Associate in Applied Science in Transportation Science from the Community College of the Air Force. His dedication to service took root during 16 years in the US Air Force, blending active duty and reserve time. In his military career, he led critical air transportation operations, fostering unit culture and embodying a mission-driven mindset that powerfully shapes his professional work.
Beyond the military, Brian’s IT career reflects a blend of technical mastery and leadership. He oversees general, information, and technology operations at Terminus; bringing decades of experience managing infrastructure, guiding best practices, and mentoring support technicians. As an independent IT contractor from 2016 to 2021, he delivered comprehensive IT support to small businesses. At Moebius Solutions from 2014 to 2016, he managed IT infrastructure across multiple software development platforms and environments, internally and in support of the US Navy's SPAWAR SSC-PAC contract. His tenure at Binovia Corp. from 2011 to 2013 as a Biomedical/Imaging Network Engineer saw him fully administer PACS systems and support radiology integrations, ensuring HIPAA compliance, data integrity, and minimizing liability. Brief roles at Millennium Laboratories in 2011 as an HL7 Analyst and at DR Systems from 2009 to 2010 as a PACS Help Desk Technician sharpened his ability to troubleshoot complex systems. His technical skills are bolstered by several Microsoft and CompTIA certifications.
At his core, Brian is passionate about simplifying complexities and streamlining processes to liberate people from routine computing, empowering them to focus on human-centric outcomes—a philosophy that defines his leadership at Terminus Solutions. His career weaves together military discipline, technical expertise, and business acumen, showcasing adaptability, innovation, and a relentless commitment to excellence.

Vice President Public Sector & Healthcare
Patrick Troy
Patrick Troy leads the public sector and healthcare division of Terminus Solutions as Vice President Public Sector and Healthcare. Patrick builds award winning sales teams by recruiting, hiring, mentoring, training, and retaining top producers and extraordinary talent. Patrick has a 25-year legacy of revenue production and over-quota achievement with a keen focus on profitability. Patrick sourced and equipped top performers and senior sales executives throughout his career. While at Sun Microsystems, he managed all product sales for the western 11 states including hardware, software, and services; achieving $1.2B on a $1.06B goal. Patrick specializes in complex deal strategy, engagement strategy, negotiating, and closing.
Over the past 35 years, Patrick has held numerous sales leadership positions and built award-winning teams at companies like Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems and Xyratex. At Hitachi Data Systems Patrick led a national team supporting the HDS-Sun channel alliance. Patrick created an engagement strategy and business plan to leverage Sun’s national sales force to sell HDS’s flagship storage systems and software. Patrick grew revenue through this alliance to $150M in his first year of engagement.
Patrick began his private sector career as a Senior Design Engineer at Loral Instrumentation, developing launch systems for the Titan III and IV Expendable Launch Vehicles and the Space Shuttle. In 1987, Patrick earned a BS in Computer Science from National University in San Diego, California. Prior to his career in the private sector, Patrick served in the US Navy for 11 years as a Cryptologist and was last stationed aboard the USS Long Beach CGN-9 for his final tour of duty. Patrick received his Honorable Discharge from the US Navy in 1986, along with numerous awards and commendations.

Vice President IT Operations
Ken Cline
Ken Cline comes to Terminus as an accomplished IT professional renowned for his expertise in virtualization, cloud computing, and architecture—with a career that spans military service, education, and the private sector.
His journey began with six years in the US Air Force as a Communications Computer Programmer. There, he worked with the White House Communications Agency, playing a key role in replacing the official White House record communications system and serving as the technical liaison for the White House Situation Room. Earlier, at Tinker AFB, he maintained and upgraded the Realtime Autodin Interface and Distribution System (RAIDS), extending its operational lifespan. After his military tenure, Ken transitioned into education as an instructor at the Computer Learning Center, teaching IBM System/360 Assembly Language Code and honing his knack for explaining intricate technical concepts.
Building on this foundation, Ken thrived in the private sector with impactful roles. At Virtustream, Inc. in Bethesda, MD, as a Solutions Architect, he designed cloud-based environments for critical applications, partnered with SAP to devise cost-effective hosting solutions, and created a pricing tool to enhance pre-sales efficiency. Later, as Chief Cloud Architect at Quality Business Engineering in Haymarket, VA, he established cloud computing standards for the US Army’s Common Operating Environment, prioritizing open-source technologies and interoperability. He provided pre-sales consultation for the Quest Cloud Automation Platform and supported Quest vFoglight, a performance monitoring solution tailored for virtualized environments. Beyond his professional roles, Ken’s commitment to the field extends to his contributions as a Technical Reviewer for VMware-related publications and his presentations at prestigious industry events like VMworld and FOSE, where he enriches accurate technical content and fosters community engagement.
Ken’s career reflects a seamless fusion of military precision, technical skill, and a dedication to innovation and knowledge sharing. From his formative years in the Air Force and education, to his highly influential roles in IT, he has left a lasting mark on virtualization and cloud computing, driven by a passion for advancing technology and supporting those around him.

Tarik Everett
Tarik Everett is a distinguished Project Lead and Subject Matter Expert, bringing to Terminus a wealth of experience in enterprise application implementation, strategic workforce optimization, and business process integration. With over 13+ years of proven ability to design, execute, and monitor initiatives that enhance organizational potential, Tarik specializes in aligning workforce strategies with overarching organizational goals. His expertise is in the federal government, particularly the Navy and Army.

Senior Solutions Architect
David Taylor
David Taylor reinforces Terminus with a diverse skill set and demonstrated ability to deliver reliable, innovative solutions to complex business problems. With over 30 years of experience in software and systems design, David has the ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders to understand their strategic needs and challenges and propose effective solutions that exceed expectations and deliver exceptional value.
David began his professional journey with a Mechanical Engineering degree magna cum laude from the University of Virginia where he published graduate level research as part of his work at the university Rotating Machinery and Controls Laboratory (ROMAC). Following graduation, he worked as a research and design engineer, developing specialized fluid film bearing solutions for high-speed rotating machinery applications in the industrial, military, and commercial markets. During these early years, David developed a curiosity and passion for programming and software engineering, which has grown and evolved into a highly successful career as a solutions architect.
Throughout his career, David has led the development of many specialized turn-key solutions for commercial, government and enterprise customers. These solutions encompassed a wide range of business needs, including high-speed laser printing, warehouse automation, B2B integration, e-commerce, sales force automation, data processing, and issuance of secure credentials such as bank cards, smart cards and passports. More recently, his work has focused on developing an innovative, secure cloud-based ID card printing solution used by a diverse range of customers, including major universities, hospitals, and Fortune 100 companies. This industry-leading cloud-based platform eliminates the need for dedicated PCs and software, and allows for secure, centralized management and printing of ID cards from anywhere. David embodies the Terminus Solutions ethos: maximizing value for enormous impact.
